Plan a Research Visit

The Wake Forest Historical Museum’s collections contain material related to the founding and development of Wake Forest College, the Town of Wake Forest, and northern Wake County. Our collections and institutional archives are available to researchers, but all researchers must make an appointment in advance. Please complete the form below.

The Wake Forest Historical Museum is working to expand access to its archival and artifact collections through digitization. In 2014, we received a federal grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services to catalog and digitize the museum’s photograph collection. We are working with the Digital Heritage Library at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to digitize the past issues of the Wake Weekly and materials related to the DuBois School. Collections related to Wake Forest University history, including the school’s oldest known account book, were digitized by Z. Smith Reynolds Library Special Collections & Archives.
