NECC Juneteenth Celebration

On Saturday, June 18, the Northeast Community Coalition will host its annual Juneteenth Celebration.

Free and open to the public, the Juneteenth Celebration will begin at 11:15 a.m. with a Freedom Walk that begins and ends at The Dubois Center, 518 N. Franklin St. Participants are encouraged to begin assembling for the march at 11 a.m.

Immediately following the Freedom Walk there will be food, activities, music, and more! The Wake Forest Historical Museum will be among the many organizations and businesses attending the event.

The Northeast Community Coalition aims to preserve the proud history of their community, promote and provide resident access to advancement opportunities and to project a positive future for our neighborhood and the surrounding Wake Forest area using a three pronged strategy to include community investment, community improvement and community involvement.
