Event Series Event Series: 1969: Reflection & Reimagination

Canceled: Hands-on History: Modern Weaving | K5 Activity

May 2 @ 4:30 pm 5:30 pm

Free

Unfortunately, we have had to cancel this program. However, please email wfmuseum@wfu.edu if you are interested in a take-home activity.

This special program designed for elementary school-aged children and an accompanying adult is inspired by, Blue and Green, a handwoven wool tapestry by Robert Motherwell. Over 9 feet tall, Blue and Green is the biggest artwork in our spring exhibit. We’ll talk about what inspired modernist weavers and learn how to create our own abstract weaving. All supplies will be provided at this free program.

Participants are invited to spend some extra time exploring the museum before the program begins at 4:30 PM.
