WFHM staff offer guided tours of the Dr. Calvin Jones House Fridays at 2 PM.
Tours of the Calvin Jones House explore the interconnected histories of slavery, religion, and education.
Tour Information
Registration
Guided tours are free and open to the public. We encourage you to register in advance, but visitors may also register at the front desk. Tour registration opens up one month in advance.
Meeting Location & Parking
Tours begin inside the museum lobby. Please arrive 5-10 minutes in advance. You may browse the exhibit galleries before or after your tour.
Tour Duration
Tours last about 45 minutes.
Weather
This tour will mostly take place inside, so tours are rarely canceled due to weather.
Safety
Please be aware of your surroundings while on our walking tours. Most tours involve walking on multiple terrains, and you may encounter stairs, sidewalks, cobblestones, pavers, uneven grades, paths, grades, curbs, and grass. Wear suitable footwear and comfortable clothing. Have fun, and stay safe.
